CDMA was originally founded in 1997 by Susan Maylor with the aim of providing drama course for dance schools.

Now, with the backing of others, she has relaunched CDMA on the net. All the features of the previous incarnation have been retained with one difference: we no longer post the course to you, we provide it for download. This saves you money and allows us to get it to you more quickly. You also don't get soaking wet copies delivered through the mail.

Susan Maylor

With a post-grad diploma in Physical and Health Education for Children, Susan directed two very successful performing arts schools for 10 years.

The Dance Drama Arts Centre in Ontario, Canada and Hertfordshire England developed many talented students who went on to perform in London's West End and in theatres in Toronto as well as in film and television in Canada and the United States.

Directing and choreographing professionally earned Susan equity status and a reputation for providing focused and well trained actors and dancers.

The drama programme is based on this work and now taught on every continent with tremendous feedback.

A member of the Council for Dance Education and Training, Intl. Assoc. for Dance Medicine and Science and Dance UK (to name just a few) Susan is a published author and Tutor at North Herts College in England.

With 7 beautiful daughters, Susan is able to divide her time between England and Canada.

Currently working on the Senior drama programme and an on-line Creative Writing Course, Susan still enjoys teaching the CDMA syllabus to teens in Hertfordshire, England!

Martin Willoughby

Performing has never been far from Martin's life. Acting, singing, dancing and stand-up comedy are among the many things he has done in the world of amateur dramatics.

He has co-written and appeared in several stage plays, written his own comedy material, sung in church choirs and even performed comedy songs to appreciative audiences in Britain and Denmark.

His three boys keep him busy with their various exploits.

As well as being a published author, Martin runs his own PC business in Stevenage and teaches the CDMA drama syllabus to Primary school children.

Helen Kolacevic (course developer)

Helen began dancing when she was three and she hasn't stopped yet. She has studied ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop dancing for many years before going to Performing Arts College in England.

After finishing, Helen went to York University were she completed her B.A. in Dance in 2004. Helen brings many years of teaching experience to the Academy. Developing the Academy?s First Steps programs (Pre-Dance, Ballet Babies and Broadway Babies) has kept Helen on her toes for the last three years. Finding new ways to inspire a love of dancing in dancers of all ages is Helen?s favorite pursuit.

Helen and her partner Kate are co-directors of Body Language Studio, Toronto, Ontario.

For Northern United States and Ontario, "Body Language Studios" will be your training centre for CDMA workshops and examinations.
